Foutz Blasts 3 out of the Park Sunday, August 13th , 2045 Hickory Crawdads left fielder Nick Foutz had a magnificent game against the Lake County Captains today, rocketing three balls out of Classic Park to help the Crawdads take the 18-9 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Foutz went 4-for-5 with 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Hickory manager Kennys Vargas said later. "Seems like Nick found his home run stroke today." Nick Foutz grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Marcus Cox in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off J.J. Adkins in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J.J. Adkins in the 9th. On the season, Foutz is batting .264 with 18 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has played in 77 games. |
