Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Clinton Thursday, August 24th , 2045 Did anyone think the Clinton LumberKings had a chance at the postseason this year? It was already quite unlikely, and now even the smallest hopes have been dashed -- the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. The LumberKings have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 30 years as a Midwest League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 14th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2031. |
