Greenville Punchless in 10-0 Loss to Crawdads Tuesday, September 5th , 2045 Phil Tippins kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Hickory Crawdads were all smiles after winning 10-0 against the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field at the West End today. The left-handed Tippins gave up no runs in his start, permitted 8 hits and had 4 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Tippins said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." Looking at his season stats, Tippins has won 4 and lost 0, collecting 21 strikeouts and 6 walks in 36.1 innings with a 3.22 ERA. |
