Injury Shuts Down Symons for Season

Andy Symons has to call it a season. The Cedar Rapids Kernels starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 09/02/2045 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 6 months. The team will likely place Symons on the injured list today.

Checking out his stats for the season, Symons has notched 3 wins and 5 losses in 11 starts, 2.89 ERA and struck out 79 batters in 90.1 innings.
