Santos Hits 3 Homers Against Lexington Thursday, September 7th , 2045 Cedar Rapids first baseman Victor Santos blasted three homers today at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in the 34-0 Kernels victory over the Lexington Legends. For the game, Victor Santos scored 5 times and knocked in 10 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Santos when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 6-for-8, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Santos told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Victor Santos hit a three-run home run off Brian Carlson in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ron Bubar in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Ron Bubar in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season Santos has hit at a .187 clip with 20 RBIs, 6 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
