Ramos Smacks 4 Homers Against Lexington Friday, September 15th , 2045 Edwin Ramos victimized Lexington Legends hurlers today, smashing 4 home runs in a herculean effort that will go down in the American League record books. In an epic hitting spree at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, the Delmarva first baseman went downtown again and again, leading the Shorebirds to a 31-1 triumph. He went 5-for-7, drove in 10 runs and scored 5 times in the historic game. "The first ones just happened," he said later, discussing the game. "However, that last time, I was swinging for the fences -- and WHAM -- I nailed it." Edwin Ramos hit a two-run home run off Bryan Alfaro in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ron Bubar in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ron Bubar in the 4th, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ron Bubar in the 8th. This season Ramos is batting .319 with 97 hits and 41 home runs. He has scored 73 times and has 95 runs batted in. |
