AL Player of the Week Goes to Ramos of Delmarva Monday, September 18th , 2045 26-year-old Edwin Ramos made a few Delmarva headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and American League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 17 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .586 average. Ramos collected 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 16 runs. So far this year in 81 games Ramos is hitting .318 with 41 home runs, 95 RBIs and 73 runs scored. |
