Boyce Whacks 3 out of the Park for West Michigan
Thursday, September 21st , 2045
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jared Boyce did today at Fifth Third Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 30-0.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Boyce said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The West Michigan Whitecaps catcher blistered the Lexington Legends for 4 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 5 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Lexington manager Tyler Sturdevant said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Jared Boyce hit a two-run home run off Brian Carlson in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ron Bubar in the 4th and hit a solo-shot off Ron Bubar in the 7th.
This season Boyce has hit 9 home runs and posted a .272 batting average.
