David Ward Takes MVP Trophy

David Ward took Midwest League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 24.
For his spectacular campaign, the Bowling Green Hot Rods star has been named the 2045 American League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.
On the season he compiled a .371 batting average to go with a .461 on-base percentage. The native of Norwalk, California also added 30 doubles, 4 triples, 25 home runs, 152 RBIs and 112 runs scored.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 30. Chris Ross of the Bowling Green Hot Rods finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Mark Marvin of the Bowling Green Hot Rods finished third.
