Geurts Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, June 5th , 2045 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the McNamara Division, but last week Nelis Geurts of the Lowell Spinners reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Geurts rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (13-for-26), 3 home runs and 14 RBIs to come away with the award. Geurts is hitting .342 this year with 4 home runs, 38 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 76 hits in 222 at-bats, 30 walks and a .445 on-base percentage. Geurts has played in 56 games. |
