Red-Hot Bat: Nakata Collects Cycle Sunday, July 30th , 2045 Yasuo Nakata showed off his speed, his power and his plate discipline today at Dwyer Stadium, putting together all facets of his game to hit for the cycle in the Hillsboro win. The 22-year-old catcher went 5-for-6, collecting 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to help the Hops top the Batavia Muckdogs by a score of 14-9. A jubilant Nakata told reporters afterward that the experience was "unimaginable." "Seriously, I would have been happy going 1-for-6 with just the double," he said. "So this feels incredible." For the day, Nakata finished with 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 5 hits. Yasuo Nakata singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tyler Murders in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
