Nakata 5-for-6 for Hillsboro Sunday, July 30th , 2045 Yasuo Nakata was at the head of a Hillsboro hit parade today at Dwyer Stadium. The catcher went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Hops to a 14-9 victory over the Batavia Muckdogs. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Nakata told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Muckdogs skipper Connor Kaden said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Yasuo Nakata singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tyler Murders in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Nakata is currently hitting at a .271 pace with 9 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
