Nakata Wins NL Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 31st , 2045 So far in his young career, Yasuo Nakata has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Hillsboro Hops catcher hit at a torrid .471 clip as he collected 16 hits in 34 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Nakata is hitting .271 with 9 home runs. |
