Moran Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, August 5th , 2045 Derek Moran continued his streak at Falcon Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Auburn third baseman was 1-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Doubledays were not as fortunate, losing 6-3 to the Williamsport Crosscutters. "Moran was hitting everything we threw at him," said Williamsport manager David Stinson. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Derek Moran grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. In 60 games this year Moran has posted a .320 average and put up these numbers: no home runs, 39 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
