Ruhl Hittin' on All Cylinders
Wednesday, August 9th , 2045
The Everett AquaSox topped the Tri-City ValleyCats by a score of 12-2 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium today but all the talk was on right fielder Josh Ruhl.
The Everett star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. Ruhl went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.
"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Ruhl said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in."
Josh Ruhl doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mike Cobb in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
So far this season, Ruhl has recorded a .327 batting average with 121 hits, 21 home runs, 97 RBIs, 93 runs scored and a .430 OBP.
