Dust Devils Stop Moran at 24 Tuesday, August 15th , 2045 Derek Moran's 24-game hitting streak was snapped today at Falcon Park. The 22-year-old Auburn Doubledays third baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Tri-City Dust Devils, but Auburn came out the winner, 6-3. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Derek," Doubledays manager Grant Reuss said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." This year Moran is batting .324 with 82 hits, no home runs, 42 RBIs, 13 walks, .382 OBP and has scored 51 runs. |
