Strey Strokes 5 Hits Wednesday, September 6th , 2045 It was high-fives all around for Mike Strey at Eastwood Field today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. Strey smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 22-4 win. "Mike was hitting everything," said Spinners manager Desmond Lindsay. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Scrappers manager Odubel Herrera told BNN beat writers that Strey "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Strey oversleeps next time." Mike Strey hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Allen Wozniak in the 8th. Thus far this year Strey has hit .305 with 5 home runs and 49 RBIs. |
