Jones on Fire: 5-for-7 for Tri-City Friday, September 8th , 2045 The Tri-City ValleyCats upended the Idaho Falls Chukars at Melaleuca Field today, thanks in large part to left fielder Gavin Jones, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the ValleyCats to a 26-15 victory. Gavin Jones singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. To date this year Jones is batting .417 with 2 home runs. |
