NYP Star of the Week Announced Monday, September 11th , 2045 So far in his young career, Nick Cottrell has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the McNamara Division in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Lowell Spinners second baseman hit at a torrid .600 clip as he collected 9 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. To date Cottrell has chalked up a .299 average with 6 home runs, driven in 31 runs and scored 30 times. |
