Great Stroke: Dann Gets 5 Hits Thursday, September 14th , 2045 Robby Dann exploded for a barrage of base hits today at PK Park. The Rome center fielder had a field day in the 13-2 triumph over the Eugene Emeralds, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Dann must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Robby Dann doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Virgílio Beyfus in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Andrew Baron in the 9th. This year Dann is batting .346 with 17 home runs and 102 RBIs. In 131 games he has scored 174 times. |
