Dust Devils Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Sunday, October 1st , 2045 The Tri-City Dust Devils outclassed the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in all facets of the game throughout the NL Round 1. The end result was a Tri-City series sweep to advance to the Divisional Championship, capped off by a 9-2 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said catcher Kalidas Mishra, who hit .500 in the series. Mishra's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .533 on-base percentage and had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Divisional Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
