Canadians Cruise to Conference Championship with Sweep Thursday, October 12th , 2045 It was a sweet sweep for the Vancouver Canadians as they eased past the Chicago (NYP) White Sox to advance to the Conference Championship. Vancouver won the final game by a 5-1 count and the series 4-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Wade Diamond, who was named series MVP. For the series, Diamond hit .529 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs.
