5 Hits for Angels Delhaye Friday, January 13th , 2045 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Alain Delhaye today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Tempe Diablo Stadium and paced the Angels to a 15-3 win over the New York (WIN) Yankees. After his dynamite batting performance, the Los Angeles (WIN) left fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Alain Delhaye singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Soh Kawashima in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off George Grady in the 7th and walked in the 8th. So far this year Delhaye has 7 home runs and a .313 batting average. |
