Thursday, January 26th , 2045
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Cincinnati (WIN) Reds have edged the St. Louis (WIN) Cardinals.
The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Wildcard Series, with a 4-2 win in the clincher being the difference for Cincinnati (WIN) and giving them the ticket to the Divisional Series with a 2-1 series triumph.
"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Freddie Farrar, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Farrar hit .417 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Cincinnati (WIN) Reds will play against the Arizona (WIN) Diamondbacks in the next round. Arizona (WIN) won their series against the Chicago (WIN) White Sox 2 games to 0. The Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
