Camacho Gets Award for Relief Work

He may only be 25, but Gerardo Camacho of the Arizona (WIN) Diamondbacks has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Division A.

The reliever was today named the A Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2044.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 10 saves in 19 relief appearances and 45 strikeouts in 24.2 innings. He had a record of 2-0 to go with his 0.00 ERA.

He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ryan Terlizzi of the Los Angeles (WIN) Angels finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Gilberto Dominguez of the Toronto (WIN) Blue Jays finished third.
