Hits Galore: Gan Drills 5 Hits Monday, July 24th , 2045 Tze-meng Gan put on a hitting clinic today as the Seattle Mariners dumped the Minnesota Twins 10-2 at Safeco Field. The Seattle shortstop made Minnesota defenders earn their pay, lashing Minnesota pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it." "Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Gan said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch." Tze-meng Gan singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Storer in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Juan Gomez in the 8th.
