Cincinnati, California Agree to Deal Sunday, July 30th , 2045 The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Reds and Angels have consummated a trade. California will receive 27-year old minor league CF Ricky Carbajal, 21-year old minor league RHP Ricky Castillo, a 1st round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick in a swap for 27-year old RHP Sam Alexander, 24-year old RHP Ryan Terlizzi, and 22-year old minor league 2B Randy Grewe. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction." California will retain a portion of Alexander's remaining contract. California will retain a portion of Terlizzi's remaining contract. Carbajal has played in 402 games and is hitting .235 lifetime with 128 RBIs, 266 hits, 40 doubles, 6 triples and 34 home runs. He has scored 148 times and stolen 70 bases. Running the numbers on Alexander for the year, he has made 16 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-8 won-lost mark with a 6.69 ERA. In pitching 74 innings, he has totaled 49 strikeouts and 39 walks. |
