And as of today, the Marlins can add another descriptor -- officially eliminated from the playoffs. Miami last appeared in the postseason in 2041. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 41 times in their 53 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Marlins have missed the playoffs 5 times. Miami has won the World Series 3 times in their history. |
