Newcomer Honored by National League Sunday, October 1st , 2045 Jordan Martin is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest National League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In September the Atlanta hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .360 average with 36 hits, 7 home runs and 20 RBIs. This season Martin is swinging the bat at a .329 rate with 160 hits in 486 at-bats. To date he has hit 32 home runs, scored 94 runs and driven in 100. |
