Mariners Dominate, Sweep Wildcard Series Saturday, October 7th , 2045 The Seattle Mariners proved to be too much to handle for the Toronto Blue Jays in the Wildcard Series, and a sweep was the end result. Seattle punched its ticket to the Division Series on the strength of a 6-2 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 2-0. Seattle first baseman Floyd-William Goof, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Toronto pitching to the tune of a .500 average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Seattle Mariners will play against the Texas Rangers in the next round. Texas had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
