San Diego Sweeps into the League Championship Series Wednesday, October 11th , 2045 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the National League Division Series. It turned out quite a bit different. The San Diego Padres swept aside the Arizona Diamondbacks to advance to the League Championship Series, winning the final game by a 7-6 score at Chase Field. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it." The San Diego Padres don't know who they will face in the next round.
