Nationals Heading to League Championship Series Thursday, October 12th , 2045 Junzo Kato said his Washington Nationals simply weren't ready for the season to come to an end. "We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what," he said, shortly after being named the Division Series MVP, following a 10-4 win at Wrigley Field that officially eliminated the Chicago Cubs, 3-1. Kato said his team is "confident and ready" for the League Championship Series. The Washington Nationals will play against the San Diego Padres in the next round.
