Orozco Will Sit Out 4 Games, Suspended by League Tuesday, September 12th , 2045 Dan Orozco, shortstop for the University of California Golden Bears, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 4-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Ohio State University. After being called out on strikes, Orozco stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Orozco told BNN today. This season Orozco is batting .192 with 1 home run. |
