#1 Division 2 Newcomer Named Friday, December 1st , 2045 November was a special time for Wichita State University pitcher, Jose Ruiz. It was such a good month that the Division 2 selected him the league's top newcomer and awarded him the Rookie of the Month trophy. Last month the 17-year-old starter breezed through the DIV II with 4 wins and no losses and a 1.46 ERA as he struck out 33 in 37 innings and held enemy hitters to a .210 batting average. This season Ruiz has a 9-2 record with a 1.74 ERA. |
