Wolverines, Yerzy Stonewall Pennsylvania State University, 6-0 Monday, December 4th , 2045 It wasn't easy but Ricky Yerzy made it look that way. Yerzy silenced the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions, 6-0, in a University of Michigan Wolverines triumph at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Yerzy said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." So far this season Yerzy has a record of 8-3 with 97 strikeouts and 39 walks in 101.2 innings and a 3.81 ERA. |
