Vallejo Sensational, 15 Ks Saturday, August 26th , 2045 Aaron Vallejo of the Oakland Oaks put on a pitching clinic today at Colt .45's Stadium as he struck out 15 Houston Colt .45's in a 12-1 victory. Vallejo, who is tied for 4th in the WL with a 0.84 WHIP, was simply magnificent as he held the Colt .45's to 4 hits. He walked 1. "I felt okay at the beginning," Vallejo said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Vallejo's performance, Oaks manager Matt Orlando shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." Checking out his stats for the season, Vallejo has racked up 7 wins and no losses in 14 starts, 2.31 ERA and struck out 158 batters in 89.2 innings. |
