Power Batters Houston for 5 Hits Sunday, August 27th , 2045 Oakland catcher Gregg Power could do no wrong in today's 22-4 win over the Colt .45's as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Colt .45's skipper Gregory Guerrero said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Power agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Gregg Power struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Matt Doherty in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Josh Corkery in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Currently Power is batting .370 with 57 home runs and 132 RBIs. |
