Barrientos 6-for-7 Against Niagara Falls Wednesday, September 6th , 2045 No matter what the Niagara Falls Phantoms threw at him today, Ivan Barrientos hit it. He easily handled Phantoms pitching, going 6 for 7 and helping the Revolution to a 28-0 triumph at Niagara Falls Casino & Resort. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Barrientos's quip, Phantoms skipper Richard Hauser said he "would take him up on that next time." Ivan Barrientos singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Manny de la Cruz in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. This season Barrientos is hitting at a .304 pace with 6 home runs, 33 RBIs and has scored 35 times. |
