5-Hit Blitz by Saldana Wednesday, September 13th , 2045 Dave Saldana did a number on the Nationals in the Joplin 29-3 victory today, and the number was 5. The Blasters center fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Joplin Baseball Complex to lead his club past the Palm Beach Nationals. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Dave Saldana tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. In the 2045 season Saldana is hitting .295 with 19 home runs. |
