Saturday, September 16th , 2045
6 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Columbus's Tim Kirk made it happen today against the Phantoms. Everything came together at the plate for the 21-year-old left fielder as he collected 6 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Reds to a 29-0 win at Niagara Falls Casino & Resort.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Kirk said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Tim Kirk hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in a run in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season Kirk has hit at a .417 clip with 29 RBIs, 1 home runs and 22 runs scored.
