Shinoda Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, September 16th , 2045 Oakland first baseman Tetsuya Shinoda keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Oakland Oaks Grounds today. The Oaks took the 5-4 victory over the Joplin Blasters. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Shinoda said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Tetsuya Shinoda was hit by a pitch in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 7th. To date this season Shinoda is hitting .395 with 21 home runs. |
