Capitals Amato Raps 3 Homers Monday, October 2nd , 2045 Victoria first baseman Frank Amato blasted three homers today at Palm Beach Ballpark in the 25-2 Capitals victory over the Palm Beach Nationals. For the game, Frank Amato scored 5 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Amato when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Amato told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Frank Amato hit a two-run home run off Johnny Busse in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Scott Merritt in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jimmy Purscell in the 5th, walked in the 7th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
