Raker Goes 5-for-5 Against Miami Beach
Wednesday, October 11th , 2045
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jason Raker today -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Ballpark of Madison, but the performance lost a little luster when the Brewers were downed 15-9 by the Miami Beach Marlins.
After his glittering performance, the Madison left fielder told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat."
His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book.
"I just wish we had added a win in the record book today, too," Raker said.
Jason Raker hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Matt Boehm in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
This season Raker is batting .354 with 31 RBIs, 45 runs scored and 1 home run.
