Mitchell Twirls No-Hitter Against Nationals
Thursday, October 12th , 2045
Excitement reigned at Colt .45's Stadium today as Houston Colt .45's hurler Jason Mitchell tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter.
After defeating the Palm Beach Nationals, 29-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments.
"I'm just glad to be here," Mitchell said. "Today I just went right at the Nationals as hard as I could, as long as I could."
Mitchell chalked up 16 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk in his superb performance.
"I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Houston manager Gregory Guerrero.
This season in 17 starts Jason Mitchell has a record of 6-9 with 163 strikeouts in 127 innings and a 4.75 ERA.
