Windy City Takes Quarter-Finals in Deciding Game Thursday, November 2nd , 2045 The Windy City ThunderBolts are heading to the Semi-Finals, having narrowly defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Windy City edged Southern Maryland in the series 4-3, with a win at The Aquarium in the clinching game by a 17-3 margin. Pat Pemberton turned in a strong offensive performance for the ThunderBolts and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Pemberton continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .320 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 6 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 12 runs. The Semi-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Quarter-Finals finishes. |
