Phong Grabs WL Reliever of the Year Award Saturday, November 25th , 2045 At the young age of only 19, Nam Phong has been named the Western League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2045. The future appears bright for the Joplin Blasters relief ace, who captured the award with 4 saves in 46 relief appearances, 107 strikeouts in 85.1 innings and a record of 5-2 to go with his 3.06 ERA. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 30. Pat Mena of the Amarillo ThunderHeads finished second in voting with 14 first place votes, while Charlie Shook of the Oakland Oaks finished third.
