Codd Selected 2045 WL Most Valuable Player Award
Wednesday, November 29th , 2045
At the age of 22, D.J. Codd of the Oakland Oaks could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2045 was good enough to win the left fielder the Western League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .462 batting average this year, as well as a .598 on-base percentage. He played 124 games and racked up 184 hits, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 102 home runs, 246 RBIs and 208 runs scored.
He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 30. Mike Gar of the Miami Beach Marlins finished second in voting, while Luis Magdaleno of the Miami Beach Marlins finished third.
