5-Hit Blitz by Cabera Tuesday, October 24th , 2045 Luis Cabera was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar. After the 16-year-old University of Florida Gators second baseman tallied 5 hits in 6 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 17-15 decision to the University of Miami Hurricanes. "That was no fun," Cabera said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win." Luis Cabera doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. During the current season Cabera is batting at a .354 clip with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 43 games and scored 42 times. |
