Conley Torches Tigers for 5 Hits Friday, October 27th , 2045 The Golden Gophers whipped the Tigers 9-6 at Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field and Justin Conley had a big hand in the win. The Golden Gophers first baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Conley and a tough day for Louisiana State University. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Conley delivered today -- 5-for-6 is outstanding in any league. Justin Conley grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far in 2045 Conley is hitting .314 with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs, 31 runs scored and has compiled a .390 OBP. |
