Dudley Clobbers 3 HR Against Beavers Sunday, November 19th , 2045 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Gators-Beavers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. University of Florida catcher Martin Dudley thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the University of Florida to a 23-19 win over Oregon State University. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Dudley said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Dudley was 3-for-5 on the day with 9 runs batted in. Martin Dudley hit a two-run home run off Sam Barbuto in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Francisco Aguirre in the 8th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th. So far this season, Dudley has recorded a .294 batting average with 59 hits, 6 home runs, 37 RBIs, 42 runs scored and a .379 OBP. |
